This Sunday

Acts 1:6-11 (ESV)

So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

Weekly Memory Verse

And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Sermon Notes : May 16, 2012, Chris

The Psalms can be scary because they are ancient foreign poetry but they have been invaluable to the spiritual life of the people God for around 3,000 years. Psalm 8 is a praise addressed to the God of Creation. The psalmist, when reflecting on the works of God's finger, is overcome that such a God would care about man. The story of the Bible is... // continue reading

The Psalms can be scary because they are ancient foreign poetry but they have been invaluable to the spiritual life of the people God for around 3,000 years.  Psalm 2 teaches that there is a real king and that is a good thing!

For Your Kids

We provide childcare during all Sunday morning services & Wednesday evening classes.

At BCC we believe our role is to equip and assist parents in their raising up of godly children into mature disciples of Jesus Christ. The Children’s Ministry at BCC is special to us because the Bible teaches that every child is created in God’s image and he loves each one of them. It is part of God’s plan for us to care for, teach, and protect children. God is honored when we value and love children and train them to fear and love Him.

Ministry to children begins in the nursery. It is here where we join parents in modeling prayer for our children. Each child is prayed for by name every week. As they grow we use repetition of stories and themes to develop their biblical vocabulary. We do this through Scripture, songs, and conversations that are centered on God and age-appropriate activities for those who attend.

If you would like, we would be happy to provide you with our child safety policy.
